I'm not very familiar with Ill Will Press' characters, but it seems like there's a huge back story to them and that I'm stepping in the middle of something. Fortunately, this something doesn't estrange the viewer. In So I Said To My Doctor, Foamy, a neurotic little imp talks to his friend about his latest visit to the doctor. Apparently, Foamy has a coffee addiction and it seems contagious.

The setup is quite simple. It's a coffee chop, and Foamy and his friend is sitting there waiting for coffee, or something. Foamy talks about his encounter with the doctor and goes on and on, while his friend is about to collapse. It's a fun story and it's difficult to guess, at first glance what's driving Foamy's friend so mad. Is it the coffee? By the way be careful. Listening to Foamy may make you cranky.

The project's strength is the dialogues and the facial expressions of the characters. It doesn't rely on much animation but there are quick jokes that viewers not paying enough attention will miss. One must give kudos for the lively coffee shop decor. It's cozy, like your average coffee shop. The background noise helps establishing the mood a lot. Mathers also creates cool character designs.
