Con Man is a short story created for the 2001 Macromedia Ucon, a conference for developers using the company's products. The cartoon's creator, Gallina was even a featured speaker. For the theme of the project, Gallina took the term con man, to describe attendees, and ran with it. It's the story of con man facing another type of con man. Let the best man win the title Con Man.

While one con man is a classic con man, cheating his way, as is hinted in the cartoon, the other one is a super hero-type whose goal is to get rid of his namesake. The story is a simple confrontation of a good guy and a bad guy in the streets of a New York-like city. Con Man obviously has powers with which he uses to fight the villain.

The animation left me with a mix opinion. While some of it is great and well edited, other parts don't work well. For example, Gallina interrupts the soundtrack often. It doesn't work with the animation as the silence makes the viewer think that there's something wrong with his speakers instead of inducing emotions. Gallina doesn't time his multiplanes and out focus effect correctly.
