Watch The Cartoon

Alien Abduction is a story told by a hillbilly. In it, he tells about an alien abduction to which he was subjected. As well as describing in his work how he his mind and body were probed, he describes the aliens that captured him and his chickens. The story takes place in the hillbilly's farm and on the space ship of the abductor. The story ends in a cliffhanger, and we have to watch the next Webisode to know how it ends.

A remarkable thing about this cartoon is that the hillbilly talks in rhymes and has a rhythm with words that while extremely whiney, fit the story. One major problem is the lack of involvement with the viewer. The shots are repetitive and there aren't enough things happening to move the story along. Seeing shots where aliens probe the hillbilly would have been more effective, than just showing a talking head.

There are some editing problems in the animation. To create a visual effect, Kamler often cuts short an animation such as an eye blink. Although it awakes the reader, it looks more like a visual jump that doesn't fit with the rest of the cartoon. As there are very few visual experiments in this cartoon, the cuts come as a surprise. The project could also use more music to improve viewers' experience.
