Cob and Ed - Crime Fighting Detectives is the story of two cops from the South who relocate in an inner city. Their goal is to fight crime and injustice. In their first episode, the pair is called to stop a robbery in progress in a local convenient store. The scene might get dangerous, as the robber has already spotted the detectives, and plans to stop them. Will he succeed?
The first Webisode of a series that seems to have stopped after the first try, there is not enough information in the story to allow one to decide whether to keep watching or not. We learn more about Cob and Ed in the bio's blurb, than within the entire cartoon. Although only a minute long, the cartoon this cartoon is too long and badly edited. The ending is very confusing. What happens exactly?
The animation is like the rest of the project. It's in slow motion, but not purposely. The characters move very slowly. Robertson also uses way too much gradients to paint his characters. The music is too loud compared with the voice acting making it very difficult to understand the characters. A beginning Flash animator might have created this project.
