Creators: Edgar Beals
Length: 3 minutes
Watch The Cartoon

Plickey and Muto is a continuing series featuring a mechanical creature, loosely based on Disney's Mickey Mouse and his pet animal, Muto, who I in turn, is based on Disney's Pluto.Muto is a sincere creature with lots of love for its master. In this Webisode, Plickey is so absorbed by his computer, that Muto is left wondering around on the Internet. Will Muto find its way back home?

This tale shows exactly what happens frequently with people who work with computers. They become immersed in a digital world and forget everything else. Muto, always seeking attention is trying to play and contact Plickey. When Plickey doesn't responds, he starts exploring the Internet. The story is fun in that it mixes a metaphor about work with a digital work, where Web sites are physical locations.

Although Muto and Plickey are mechanical objects, the animation is superb. In particular, Muto whose head is but a pair of scissors, has many emotions. It takes an animator with an eye for subtleness to give a pair of scissors believable expressions. The animation, although very good is not enough to sustain interest, as this project is long and the rave music, annoying.
