It's probably made the round across the Internet so me talking about it is hardly news anymore.

Still from a technical point, they're using more and more 3D animation compositing it in a 2.5 type of way within Flash.

The animation of the character is more expressive than in the past and less reliant on facial jokes and lip sync than in the past. It feels less like they're using cut outs. They also spend less time on shots so, it's harder to spot clunky animation or pixelated features, like in This Land.

It is a vast improvement to their past shorts on the animation side. They do overuse the stretch and squash techniques - one would think they've just discovered that trick!

Jokewise, it's better than a lot of the stuff they've done since It's good to Be in DC and Second Term. There's less direct exposure to the main candidates and they don't square off very much. Themewise, I doubt they'll make a new short before the US 2008 election, but so far, I would say the candidates lack the personality of either Bush or Perry in past shorts.
