So, there are a few pages at The ComicBookBin.com that bring a lot of traffic, but it's not targeted and good traffic. I know the pages are popular and bring in a large percentage of visitors, but the bounce rate is also very important.
I get it that the page get a lot of traffic and as it's not converting anyway, I don't quite care about the results, although I don't want to remove the tracking.
What happens is that a few more popular articles and pages skewer the results for the site average. For example, our bounce rates would be much lower, were it not for these highly popular pages with useless visits.
Yes, I've already taken measures to profit from these pages that bring in visitors that stay less than 10 seconds and that has paid off. But I still don't want to see these pages skewer my results.
What I'd like from Google Analytics, is a way to turn on and off a page within the Dashboard on demand and see it recalculate the site's average based on that.
I would get much better data about the overall success of the site, while still having the data for those exceptional pages that are in a league of their own.
I've asked the Google Analytics folks for something like that.
Using the custom filters just doesn't seem to work well.
There is also a way to exclude or limit results to a specific page, but again, it doesn't allow for multiple page exclusions, which makes it less than useful for me.
