I have several accounts with several Google services. I like the way I set up my accounts and I know what I'm doing. I make sure all my settings are convenient for my purposes and not Google, it's advertisers or its shareholders.
Well Google doesn't like that and has been trying to force people like me to create full fledge unique Google Accounts where all that data is concentrated in one place.
Based on Canadian privacy laws and a recent search into similar practices at Facebook, Google may be infringing on my privacy by forcing me to pull all my info in one place - one account where they can track all of the usage of the various services I use in one place.
It's certainly not making me like to use their services and I may consider abandoning most of them, if they continue to dictate to me how I should use the Internet.
